These terms are an agreement between you and ConnectMyShop (“ConnectMyShop”, “we”, “us”) for your use of connectmyshop.app and the ConnectMyShop service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.
1. What the Service does
ConnectMyShop connects an Etsy shop you authorize to AI assistants you choose, using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It lets those assistants read shop information and propose changes within the permissions you set, and carries out changes only after you approve them (or as your settings allow).
ConnectMyShop is not an AI model and does not create the suggestions your AI assistant makes. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing every proposed change before approving it.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep your login and connection keys secure.
- You’re responsible for activity under your account and by AI assistants you connect.
- Tell us promptly at security@connectmyshop.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Etsy
You must have the right to connect the Etsy shop you authorize, and you must follow Etsy’s Terms of Use, Seller Policy and other Etsy policies. Your use of Etsy remains governed by your agreement with Etsy. Etsy may change or limit its API at any time, which may affect the Service. Etsy fees (for example listing fees when publishing) are charged by Etsy, not by us.
The term “Etsy” is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.
Disclaimer: this application is solely provided by ConnectMyShop (the “application developer”). You acknowledge that Etsy, Inc. and its affiliates are not the application developer, do not provide the application service, and make no warranties of any kind with respect to the application or data accessed through it.
4. Permissions and approvals
You choose what each connected AI may do and can change or revoke permissions, disconnect your shop, or delete your account at any time. Publishing and deleting listings are off by default. Deleting a listing on Etsy is permanent; publishing makes a listing public and may incur Etsy fees. Approving an action is your instruction to us to carry it out.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access shops or accounts you’re not authorized to use, or share your credentials or connection keys with others.
- Scrape Etsy, bypass rate limits, or use the Service to harvest Etsy data.
- Create listings that are deceptive, infringe intellectual property, or violate Etsy policy or law.
- Use the Service to train AI or machine-learning models on Etsy data.
- Interfere with, probe or overload the Service, or introduce malware.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
We may limit, suspend or end access that breaks these terms or risks harm to users, Etsy or the Service.
6. Fees
The Service is free during early access. Before we start charging, we’ll publish pricing and give account holders at least 14 days’ notice. Paid plans will renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Taxes may apply. Your AI assistant subscription is separate and billed by its provider.
7. Your content and data
You keep all rights to your shop content. You give us a limited permission to access, store and process it only as needed to provide the Service to you. Our handling of personal information is described in our privacy policy.
8. Our service
We own the Service, its software and branding. We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we’ll give account holders at least 30 days’ notice so you can disconnect and export your data.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, the accuracy of AI output, or any sales, ranking or business result.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, including losses from changes you approved or from Etsy or AI-provider actions. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or CAD $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your listings, your breach of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights, to the extent allowed by law.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may end these terms with notice, or immediately for serious breaches. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers, liability limits and indemnity) survive termination.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Courts in Ontario have jurisdiction, unless consumer-protection law in your place of residence gives you the right to bring claims locally.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here and, for material changes, email account holders before they take effect.
